About the role

  • Lead CSE (Comité Social et Économique) management: prepare, facilitate, document, and follow up on CSE meetings to ensure compliance with French legislation
  • Partner with external counsel and employee representatives to maintain trust and legal alignment and advise on CSE-related implications of organizational or policy changes
  • Partner with People Business Partners on complex or high-risk employee relations cases and manage a caseload directly as needed
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage ER cases and lead complex investigations to minimize legal risk
  • Develop and document ER practices, toolkits, templates, and internal guidance to scale consistency across teams
  • Provide strategic advice on policy interpretation, investigations, performance management, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and dismissal
  • Act as senior advisor on global employee relations and labor law with subject matter expertise in EMEA (particularly France and the UK), and support APAC and AMER compliance through collaboration with Legal and regional stakeholders
  • Partner with People Operations and external counsel to ensure global policies, handbooks, and people processes remain legally sound and regionally compliant
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes across regions and coordinate updates with Legal, Finance, and People Ops
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and People Ops on risk mitigation, investigations, documentation, process improvements, and global people projects

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure to compliance and employee relations
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French Labor Law, or a specialized HR program (e.g., Droit social et ressources humaines)
  • Experience managing employee relations issues on a global scale, with focus on UK and France preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing compliance in a global environment
  • Expertise in French labor law, including CSE governance and statutory employment practices
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and coach HR peers without owning direct execution
  • Ability to translate complex workplace issues into actionable recommendations balancing compliance, employee experience, and business needs
  • Experience leading internal investigations, performance management, harassment/discrimination/retaliation cases, and dismissals
  • Experience developing toolkits, templates, and internal guidance to scale ER consistency
  • Interest in identifying and applying AI tools to streamline ER documentation, policy management, and compliance monitoring
  • Exceptional judgment and communication skills in both French and English
  • Experience working in a distributed or remote-first organization
  • Preference for candidates with experience at scale (10,000+ customers, ~$200M ARR)
