About the role
- Manage and coordinate all material-related activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works
- Prepare and review MEP material submittals as per project requirements
- Ensure compliance with specifications, international standards, and regulatory codes
- Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of approved materials
- Follow up with suppliers and manufacturers for technical documents and certifications
- Maintain updated logs and tracking sheets for material submittals and approvals
- Liaise with consultants and clients for necessary approvals
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and installation of materials at site.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 5 to 10 Years of experience in MEP Materials Engineering
- Proven experience in material engineering for MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, low current, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, ISO, BS, etc.) and local codes
- Experience in material approval workflows, documentation, and procurement coordination
- Proficiency in MS Office and document control systems
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
