About the role
- Review and approve all material submittals, supplier documentation, and certificates of compliance against project specifications
- Supervise and coordinate laboratory and field testing of materials
- Maintain complete material approval logs, test reports, and records for traceability
- Liaise with approved suppliers to verify compliance with project quality requirements
- Conduct spot inspections and provide guidance to site engineers on material-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Quality Management Systems certification (mandatory)
- Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent) for pipeline and steel works
- NACE or SSPC certification for coatings and corrosion protection (preferred)
- Registration or eligibility with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
- Familiarity with Saudi standards, NWC/EXPRO requirements, and GCC regional quality regulations
