About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer import and export compliance policies to ensure all international trade activities align with global regulations
- Conduct independent restricted party screening of end-users and new customers
- Analyze product data for Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and Schedule B determinations
- Assist with the administration and renewal of critical government export licenses (ITAR, EAR, USML)
- Serve as an authorized corporate point of contact for inquiries from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and the Department of State
- Proactively investigate supply chain operations for compliance vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with the central legal division to design risk-mitigation strategies
- Manage and audit corporate recordkeeping frameworks across US sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Business Administration, or similar with relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with Trade Compliance (Export Compliance, Import Compliance or both)
- Certification as a Certified Export Specialist (CES) or Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) preferred
- Familiarity with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
- Strong familiarity with Entry Summary (7501) analysis HTSUS structures, ECCN matrices, and trade compliance architectures (e.g., e2open, ACE)
- Knowledge of tax
- Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
