About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive business development and profitable growth within pharmaceutical processing and water recovery applications.
  • Lead commercial and technical dialogues together with Sales Companies, Key Channel Partners, and strategic customers
  • Identify, develop, and mature new business opportunities, applications, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with Product & Application, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to deliver customer value.
  • Contribute to product launches, market development initiatives, customer visits, and industry events to strengthen Alfa Laval's market presence.
  • Own business planning, opportunity pipeline development, forecasting, and strategic account planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, application engineering, process engineering, or a similar customer-facing role within the process industry.
  • Proven ability to combine technical expertise with commercial understanding to identify opportunities and create value for customers.
  • Experience working with customers in regulated industries, preferably within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, or other process industries.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across international, cross-functional teams and build trusted customer relationships.
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities, customer projects, or business development initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of process technologies and customer applications; experience with membrane filtration, separation technologies, or hygienic process systems is a strong advantage.
