About the role
- Establish evaluation protocols and conduct in-depth analyses of machine translation output and training data
- Process feedback on our A.I.-based translation tools, ensuring timely response and issue resolution.
- Provide punctual EN>ES translation services for the Technology team.
- Provide insight and recommendations based on linguistic analysis to enhance MT quality and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and refinement of translation engine models, with a focus on formal Spanish standards
- Interface between our Linguistic Operations team and Technology team, facilitating effective collaboration.
Requirements
- Native fluency in Spanish
- Excellent command of English
- Proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic and/or French will be considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Publishing (post-edition), Literature, or a closely-related discipline.
- Proven experience in English to Spanish translation, particularly in the Finance and Legal domains.
- Marked interest in programming or mathematics – especially pertaining to NLP – will be considered an asset.
- Excellent working knowledge of modern translation practices and environments – including CAT tools and project management tools – is imperative.
- Familiarity with Excel is a must, as is a good understanding of best practices in project management through dedicated tools (Jira).
- Strong analytical skills, methodical mindset, and interest in abstraction and mathematical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Good tolerance for stress and efficiency in juggling multiple tasks dynamically is a must.
- Marked sense of initiative, and ability to work both independently as well as in team environments.
- Cheerful, collaborative and open-minded attitude, with a strong sense of dedication to client success.
