About the role

  • A leading U.S.-based edtech company is looking for a Middle Ruby on Rails Developer to join their fully remote team.
  • Platform helps educational institutions manage and distribute digital learning materials — from e-textbooks to interactive courseware.
  • Participate in all aspects of the application development life cycle: specifications, prototypes, development, QA, deployment and operations.
  • Develop and modify internal and external software as part of a team of engineers.
  • Check work in practice and use automated tests.
  • Support day-to-day work of the team, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
  • 3+ years of application and API development experience
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
  • Experience with Git or other source code control systems
  • Working hours: 12:00–20:00 (GMT+2, Kyiv time)
  • B2B cooperation is mandatory
  • Ukrainian/Russian C1+
  • English B2+
  • Will be an advantage: Knowledge of modern web development technologies: PHP, JavaScript, web services (REST), MySQL
