About the role
- Provide strategic and operational oversight for multiple projects across the region
- Supervise Project Managers and multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets
- Develop long-term construction strategies and plans to achieve company objectives
- Oversee resource planning, including manpower, equipment, and materials
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to safety, cost, and project delivery
- Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective project execution
- Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships and ensure project success
- Ensure all construction activities meet or exceed quality standards
- Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership, highlighting project status, risks, and opportunities
- Act as the primary escalation point for resolving major project challenges
- Monitor and provide effective performance feedback to team members
- Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and other team members
- Support regional business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities and strengthening client relationships
- Visit project sites on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar relevant field
- Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30
- Preferred Certifications: PMP
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in project management and/or project controls
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management and leadership (i.e., safety, schedule, budget, quality management, and relationship building)
- Minimum of seven (7) years supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience with estimating and project strategy
- Demonstrated experience with proposal development
- General working knowledge of federal regulatory contracting processes, practices, requirements, guidelines, and laws regarding construction projects
- Strong familiarity and implementation of OSHA 1910/1926
- Experience working for federal agencies
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing subcontractors.
