About the role

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight for multiple projects across the region
  • Supervise Project Managers and multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets
  • Develop long-term construction strategies and plans to achieve company objectives
  • Oversee resource planning, including manpower, equipment, and materials
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to safety, cost, and project delivery
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective project execution
  • Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships and ensure project success
  • Ensure all construction activities meet or exceed quality standards
  • Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership, highlighting project status, risks, and opportunities
  • Act as the primary escalation point for resolving major project challenges
  • Monitor and provide effective performance feedback to team members
  • Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and other team members
  • Support regional business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities and strengthening client relationships
  • Visit project sites on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar relevant field
  • Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30
  • Preferred Certifications: PMP
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in project management and/or project controls
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management and leadership (i.e., safety, schedule, budget, quality management, and relationship building)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience with estimating and project strategy
  • Demonstrated experience with proposal development
  • General working knowledge of federal regulatory contracting processes, practices, requirements, guidelines, and laws regarding construction projects
  • Strong familiarity and implementation of OSHA 1910/1926
  • Experience working for federal agencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing subcontractors.
