• Own and manage the Kandji/IRU MDM platform, including device enrollment, app deployment, security policies, and compliance monitoring

• Manage a busy calendar: schedule meetings and ensure the Co-CRO is fully prepared for daily appointments.
• Support the organization and prioritization of incoming emails.
• Arrange domestic and international travel, including booking flights, hotels, and local transport, and prepare clear, detailed itineraries.
• Prepare and submit monthly expense reports accurately and on time.
• Gather and prepare meeting materials and presentations, track action items, and remind the team of upcoming deadlines.
• Act on behalf of the CRO when required and lead contained internal-facing projects across areas such as People & Culture (P&C), working to establish sustainable processes where possible.
• Provide organizational expertise to the broader Research organization for team meetings, special events, offsites, and similar activities.

AI Research Scientist

• Stay at the bleeding edge of foundation model research. You will identify, implement, and iterate on novel approaches to estimating data quality, synthetic data generation, curriculum learning, and advanced curation techniques.
• Design and lead rigorous ablation studies across various scales. You will systematically analyse how changes in data composition, deduplication strategies, heuristic and model-based curation, and scaling laws affect training dynamics and target model and system capabilities.
• Move beyond basic perplexity filtering. Research and build advanced algorithms to score and select data, such as influence functions, gradient-based matching, or using smaller models to curate data for larger ones.
• Partner closely with a diverse team to scale your research from prototypes to trillions-of-tokens-scale pipelines, and work with the post-training team to ensure pre-training distributions effectively support targeted fine-tuning and customer-alignment.

Senior AI Researcher – Pre-training Data

AI Engineer

• Co-Own data pipelines end-to-end: Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that sources, processes, deduplicates, filters, and prepares pre-training corpora at scale. Own the conversion from curated corpora to training-ready streaming formats.
• Curate and compose data mixtures: Define and iterate on the data blends used for pre-training - balancing domains, languages, quality tiers, and licensing requirements to maximise model capability.
• Build data quality tooling: Develop classifiers, heuristics, and analysis frameworks that measure and enforce data quality across terabyte-scale corpora. Monitor pipeline health and data quality metrics at scale.
• Close data gaps: Work with evaluation and post-training teams to identify where model weaknesses trace back to data coverage, then source or generate the data needed to address them.
• Collaborate with post-training: Partner closely with the post-training team to ensure pre-training data decisions support downstream fine-tuning, alignment, and deployment goals - data choices upstream shape what's possible downstream.
• Co-Own German-language data: Ensure deep, high-quality coverage of German-language corpora - this is core to our value proposition, not an afterthought.
• Establish data-to-performance signal: Design and run ablation studies to validate data choices - measuring how changes in composition, filtering, or sourcing affect pre-training evaluation metrics and downstream capabilities.
• Take data transparency seriously: Maintain data lineage and provenance so the team knows exactly what went into each training run.
