About the role
- Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Practice Adoption and others to identify user problems and shape how they will be solved.
- Gather, articulate, and visualize key concepts and patterns using storyboards, user journey maps, etc. in order to drive strong cross functional alignment and enable effective decision-making about possible approaches.
- Deliver user flows, low fidelity prototypes, high fidelity design comps, and build specifications for high quality digital workflows that fit within broader end-to-end service experiences.
- Support engineering delivery with design documentation, rationale, and conversations that ensures intent is translated to the end user experience.
- Contribute to the evolution of our Experience Design & Research practice, playbook, and knowledge base.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in product and interaction design
- Fluency in usability best practices and their application to unique design challenges
- Fluency and skill with a variety of design related tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, etc.).
- A portfolio showing deep expertise in multiple facets (two or more) of experience design, particularly interaction design, visual design, and content design.
- Experience designing and prototyping end-to-end digital experiences with cross-functional teams working in iterative environments.
- Demonstrated expertise designing complex analytic, decision support and workflow applications.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross functional partners to gather information and navigate tradeoffs.
- Experience designing and integrating AI capabilities into product experiences
- Solid communication and storytelling skills – can clearly articulate the what, why, and how of their approaches and tailor a message to the audience.
- Experience applying research based insights to designs
- Understanding of and commitment to inclusive and accessible design
- Experience working in complex health care product and service contexts (particularly in population health, clinical decision support, and direct patient care)
- Knowledge of modern product development methodologies (design thinking, lean, agile, etc…)
