About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Verify and help justify cost variances on projects (budget hold), participating in biweekly project cost variance review meetings.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs from project drawings for coordination and feedback to estimates.
- Handle procurement requests through bid comparison matrices.
- Follow material requisition procedures.
- Participate in weekly procurement meetings with the supply team and construction site teams.
- Support team development and process improvement.
- Monitor availability of project documents, estimates, and approvals for projects not yet started, flagging any pending items that could impact the start of the contracting process and site mobilization according to schedule.
- Contribute to analyses, KPI generation, and database reconciliation using current systems and controls to assist the area manager in continuously improving the information and visibility provided to operations managers;
- Serve internal areas with technical operations via the company's system, providing internal stakeholders with timely information and system guidance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Knowledge of cost analysis and contracting processes.
- Ability to read and interpret project drawings.
- SAP knowledge desirable (PS or MM modules).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Power BI desirable.
