About the role

  • Advise the Group on legal matters, with a particular emphasis on commercial contracts.
  • Engage with the business units and group support functions to build credibility and trust, whilst supporting them in addressing legal implications and compliance issues.
  • Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts and NDAs.
  • Support with Company Secretarial matters including managing the group structure, statutory filing, investor and board support.
  • Support the General Counsel with ensuring GDPR / Privacy law compliance and ad-hoc projects.
  • Assist with the management of the IP, domains and trademark registrations of the Group as well as addressing any related contentious issues as they arise.
  • Support the General Counsel on resolving legal issues that face the business from time to time.
  • General legal research and legal administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial law
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice
  • Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders across the business
  • Strong understanding of legal risk and how to balance this with business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal matters
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
