About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead / Support surgical freight initiatives
- Be the SPOC / Project Lead for several transportation topics
- Support with the preparation of the annual carrier budget + monitoring
- Oversee the overall shipment flows
- Cross collaboration with manufacturing sites, 3PL’s providers, and distribution centers on transfers and transportation needs between sites
- Interface between Transportation SX and Global Transportation, APL Supply Chain HUB, EL Supply Chain / Logistics Operation, Warehouses, IT, etc.
- Attend weekly orchestrator calls with the countries and stakeholders from other functions (S&OP, WH&D, Customer Operations) / lead and coordinate the transportation topics
- Collaborate with our procurement team for RFQs and ad-hoc freight cost analysis
- Perform “ad-hoc” analysis and on-going statistics
- Active participation in continuous improvement process (CIP) by completing CIP projects to drive savings towards financial targets
- Measure & improve service performance (on-time, OTIF…)
- Resolve transportation routing errors, late pickups/deliveries
- Support Global and Regional financial targets through operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant education enabling successful performance in logistics, supply chain, or related fields
- Experience in transportation management, freight forwarding, vendor management, or supply chain operations
- Strong technical understanding of logistics processes, customs compliance, and GxP‑aligned documentation practices
- Behaviors that include proactive problem‑solving, clear communication, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
