About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide high quality technical support for Alcon customers and Alcon sales & marketing departments.
Manage a territory from technical, customer satisfaction and service perspective to cover New Zealand South Island.
Carry out new equipment installations in consultation with the customer & sales force.
Perform Repairs, Planned Maintenance plus submission of documentation on time with attention to detail and with proper consultation with the customer.
Provide sales and marketing colleagues with support when required.
Actively promote and sell Alcon Service Agreements.
Understand and adhere to all quality and ISO requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum/Essential: 3 years field experience in a customer facing service engineer role, from a medical technology company
Minimum of Certificate 3 in an Electronic related field.
Ideally hold Biomedical Engineering qualifications
A current New Zealand Electrical Licence is required for this role.
Experience in Ophthalmic equipment highly desired
Advanced PC literacy
Valid driver’s license
Experience with electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, laser / energy meters, pressure and vacuum meters)
