About the role

  • Identify, create, and implement effective sales strategies to drive new business acquisition, retain business and achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth through emerging technologies, keeping Alberta Blue Cross® at the forefront of innovation.
  • Lead, motivate, inspire, coach and mentor a high performing sales team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, creativity, and results.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to ensure the team's success.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture achieving individual and team targets.
  • Continuously provide feedback and coaching, enhancing the sales team’s skills, and capabilities through training, workshops, and mentoring.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional customer experience.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through effective networking and relationship-building.
  • Track, and manage key performance indicators, sales forecasts, pipeline status, activity management, budgets, and reports against targets.
  • Provide regular updates to the senior management team on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning with Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and other departments to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Valid LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) license required.
  • 2+ years of progressive and proven B2B sales leadership experience with focus on sales coaching and enablement.
  • 2+ years of industry experience with a deep understanding of service offering, dynamics, trends, and challenges.
  • Strong track record of driving results and curating experiences for B2B diverse customer segments with focus on opportunity planning, account planning, funnel management, and sales forecasting.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, and able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of industry, trends, offering and market.
  • Proven success in leading and developing high performance sales teams.
  • Expertise in sales enablement and go to market strategy design.
  • Experience in managing, developing, and executing successful partner channels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience working within a CRM, including contributing to the implementation and adoption of sales CRM practices.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies to internal and external stakeholders at the executive level.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners and attend industry events.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, or related field.
