About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive high-impact deployments involving data intelligence, AI, and governance
Advise enterprise stakeholders on governance and business challenges in complex, regulated industries
Diagnose data and AI governance gaps and translate them into Alation-backed solutions
Advise on industry-specific governance frameworks, model risk management, data lineage, and regulatory reporting
Surface opportunities to expand product usage and consumption through demonstrated value
Lead discovery sessions with executive stakeholders
Run product demonstrations and adoption workshops
Build data-backed value stories connecting governance outcomes to business impact
Own end-to-end Alation implementations and services engagements
Define KPIs and value measures
Run enablement and adoption activities embedding governance practices into customer workflows
Contribute to Executive Business Reviews for senior and executive audiences
Partner with account teams to identify expansion opportunities
Shape internal delivery methodology, best practices, and frameworks for Alation’s professional services practice

Requirements

What you’ll need

10–12+ years of consulting experience in a lead role
Proven track record delivering successful projects with measurable business outcomes
Experience delivering services as part of a software company
Extensive data management experience, including data governance, data quality, master data management, and reference data
Demonstrated expertise in at least one target industry: Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Hospitality and Travel
Advanced understanding of data governance, AI governance, and metadata management
Understanding of how governance concepts map to platform capabilities
Experience influencing methodology, tools, or delivery standards beyond individual engagements
Ability to work effectively in a high-growth startup environment
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and Alation capabilities
Comfort working remotely using virtual teaming
Strong collaboration skills
Willingness to travel approximately 15–30% for customer and prospect onsite visits
