About the role

  • Strengthen Alan's security posture across the engineering organisation.
  • Protect sensitive health data and ensure systems are resilient against threats.
  • Application and infrastructure security testing and penetration testing.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents; work with security platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product Crews and Tech Foundations to enable secure infrastructure, CI/CD, authentication, data anonymization, developer productivity tools, and design/development unification.
  • Improve security stack, tools, and processes for developers; contribute to infrastructure and code foundations across backend/frontend/mobile.
  • Work in a team focused on developer enablement, infrastructure, and product quality with security as a nonnegotiable attribute.

Requirements

  • Strong background in application and infrastructure security, including Application Security Testing and Penetration Testing.
  • Hands-on experience identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications.
  • Experience protecting organisations from cyber threats and working with platforms to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.
  • Passionate about building secure products and systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and modern web application security.
  • Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#; enthusiastic about modern JavaScript.
  • Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (experience with both not required).
  • Passionate about building products; self-starting and entrepreneurial.
  • Humble and willing to grow; collaborative and enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
  • Fluent in English (no need to speak French!).
