About the role
- You will be part of the Business Strategy & Operations (BSO) team, whose objectives are to:
- - Define an ambitious strategy to achieve our business goals and translate it into an actionable plan
- - Monitor and explain our performance against those business objectives
- - Enable our Sales and Account Management teams to achieve these objectives and become the most effective commercial teams in the tech industry (e.g., Sales and AM effectiveness, tools, analytics, and training)
- Own medium to large-scale or complex projects (depending on your skills and experience) within Business Planning and Strategy. These include:
- - Business Strategy
- - Work closely with senior business leaders (Business leads, Insurance Lead, Marketing lead, CFO, CEO, etc.) to define Alan’s business plan
- - Frame business and resource-allocation decisions (e.g., where to accelerate or slow down by segment or product, where to deploy sales and marketing resources, how to optimize short- vs. long-term priorities, and what the impact is on metrics such as payback, LTV, CAC)
- - Propose plan adjustments on a quarterly basis and support Board preparation
- - Sales & Account Management Planning
- - Translate the plan into actionable Sales & Account Management objectives, ensuring their quality, scalability, and accuracy
- - Build and improve the infrastructure to track these targets (dashboards, models) in collaboration with the data team
- - Performance Monitoring & Steering
- - Lead or support strategic explorations (e.g., new segments, new distribution models) to frame strategic decisions
- - Monitor results and execution closely to gather learnings and adjust where necessary, sharing key insights with the community and the company on a monthly basis
- - Work on cross-functional topics that help us gain insights and better steer team performance (competitive analysis, implementation and monitoring of pricing strategies, etc.)
Requirements
- Experience:
- - At least 3–5 years of experience in one of the following areas:
- - Business strategy, sales strategy & operations, revenue operations, or business/strategic finance in a B2B company (preferred)
- - Management consulting, investment banking, or private equity
- Critical thinking and problem-solving:
- - Ability to handle ambiguity and bring structure to unclear areas of opportunity
- - Strong analytical rigor, providing clarity on complex topics through deep insights
- - Excellent Excel skills and intermediate knowledge of SQL
- - Ability to manage workload and deliver on short turnaround times, with high adaptability and flexibility when priorities shift
- Business acumen:
- - Comfortable with B2B operational and financial metrics
- - Passion for working closely with Sales and Marketing teams and understanding the operational details of their work, not just the strategic aspects
- Communication and presence:
- - Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and align multiple stakeholders collaboratively
- - Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance and be regarded as a trusted contributor/advisor
- - Ability to perform well under pressure, with high adaptability and flexibility
- - Strong written and verbal communication skills with clear structure
- Languages:
- - Fluency in English and French
- Nice to have:
- - Experience with BI and visualization tools (Metabase, Tableau) and Salesforce
- - Experience in SaaS/tech sectors
- - Exposure to large sales teams (100+). For this role we look for a C1–D level on our grid.
