About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and by phone
Perform patient registration in various systems
Answer phone calls professionally and courteously
Collect time-of-service patient responsibility when applicable
Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization when applicable
Perform preliminary patient screening, including medical history, before procedures when applicable
Transport patients to and from exam rooms
Assist with patient transfers on and off exam tables
Provide preliminary and post-procedure instructions
Assist with preparing mobile units for transport when applicable
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked work area
Order supplies when applicable
Ensure accuracy of patient records and documentation
Schedule patient appointments and obtain insurance verification or authorization when applicable
Prepare medical records for physicians, patients, and customers
Document patient visits in electronic systems and written documents
Assist clinical staff with documentation and image delivery
Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology and Oncology
Valid state driver's license required as applicable
Ability to work at several locations
Strong customer service skills
Organizational and multi-tasking skills
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
Local travel may be required to support multiple sites
COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen required
Six months customer service or related experience and/or training preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
