About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create, review, and issue purchase orders with required documentation, coding, and approvals
- Source routine goods and services by comparing pricing, lead times, specifications, and product availability
- Track open purchase orders, follow up on order status, delivery timelines, and backorders, and escalate issues
- Validate pricing against negotiated contract or quoted pricing and correct discrepancies
- Maintain purchasing records for financial reporting, audits, and compliance reviews
- Monitor adherence to contract terms, pricing, product consistency, service levels, and approved vendor usage
- Support vendor onboarding by gathering documentation, validating vendor information, and assisting with setup
- Review and redline vendor contracts, NDAs, order forms, and amendments with Legal
- Negotiate commercial terms for routine and mid-tier agreements and escalate complex negotiations
- Serve as a primary vendor contact and communicate contract expectations and purchasing procedures
- Support AP in validating invoice accuracy against invoices, purchase orders, and contracts
- Monitor aging invoices, document resolutions, and maintain audit trails
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
- Own Workday Procurement data integrity for vendor records, item master, contract metadata, and purchasing categories
- Partner with IT on Workday configuration changes, enhancements, and workflow testing
- Provide Workday process guidance, end-user support, troubleshooting, and training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Healthcare experience OR Workday experience is required
- Advanced imaging or diagnostic imaging experience is strongly preferred
- 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience
- Demonstrated exposure to contract review and vendor negotiation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactional work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of standard commercial contract terms, SLAs, indemnification, and payment terms
- Ability to identify and escalate contract risk
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Must be in the EST or CST time zone or willing to work during EST/CST business hours
- Familiarity with clinical supply chain requirements, capital planning, and vendor compliance standards is preferred
- Supplier relationship management experience, including QBRs and continuous improvement initiatives, is preferred
- Experience developing and executing category strategies is preferred
