About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce cross-sectional images for medical interpretation through radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic purposes.
Perform MRI procedures by acquiring and analyzing data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
Independently perform or assist a licensed practitioner in the completion of magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
Prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast administration.
Interact with all healthcare staff and patients' families and visitors.
Maintain proficiency and comply with company policies and procedures.
Ensure patient safety and appropriate management of MRI zones.
Demonstrate competency of differing MR equipment and power injection equipment.
Train and orient new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
ARRT(MR) and State License, if applicable
BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or ACLS, where applicable
Ability to work at several locations, as needed
Strong customer service skills.
Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience
