About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce cross-sectional images for medical interpretation through radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform MRI procedures by acquiring and analyzing data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
- Independently perform or assist a licensed practitioner in the completion of magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
- Prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast administration.
- Interact with all healthcare staff and patients' families and visitors.
- Maintain proficiency and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and appropriate management of MRI zones.
- Demonstrate competency of differing MR equipment and power injection equipment.
- Train and orient new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
- ARRT(MR) and State License, if applicable
- BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or ACLS, where applicable
- Ability to work at several locations, as needed
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience
