About the role
- Oversee software development and infrastructure projects supporting Texas’s educational system
- Lead Agile software development teams through the SDLC to ensure timely delivery
- Develop project charters, budgets, plans, and schedules; manage changes to scope and priorities
- Ensure application deliverables meet quality, budget, and business expectations
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and executives
- Motivate, influence, and guide cross-functional teams to meet objectives
- Define and articulate the application/technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with agency strategy
- Apply TEA’s performance competencies: Productivity & Quality, Decision-Making, Communication, Growth Mindset, Initiative & Influence
Requirements
- 8 years: Working with software application teams, using SDLC, PMLC, and Agile Scrum methodology
- 3 years: Working with Power BI
- 3 years: Working with Data Lake
- Scrum Master experience
- Agile/Scrum experience
- PMI Certification
- Strong customer-service mindset with ability to influence without authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Availability to work outside standard business hours as needed
