About the role

  • Oversee software development and infrastructure projects supporting Texas’s educational system
  • Lead Agile software development teams through the SDLC to ensure timely delivery
  • Develop project charters, budgets, plans, and schedules; manage changes to scope and priorities
  • Ensure application deliverables meet quality, budget, and business expectations
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and executives
  • Motivate, influence, and guide cross-functional teams to meet objectives
  • Define and articulate the application/technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with agency strategy
  • Apply TEA’s performance competencies: Productivity & Quality, Decision-Making, Communication, Growth Mindset, Initiative & Influence

Requirements

  • 8 years: Working with software application teams, using SDLC, PMLC, and Agile Scrum methodology
  • 3 years: Working with Power BI
  • 3 years: Working with Data Lake
  • Scrum Master experience
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • PMI Certification
  • Strong customer-service mindset with ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Availability to work outside standard business hours as needed
