The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking the services of two experienced Project Manager 2 professionals to lead and deliver various technology and innovation projects that directly impact the agency’s mission, goals, and objectives.
The selected candidates will work on initiatives that require advanced project management capabilities, coordination across teams, and the ability to deliver on complex, high-visibility projects.
The position involves managing technology-related projects in alignment with Agile methodologies, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions.
Work will be performed in a hybrid capacity, with onsite presence required at the Austin headquarters.
All work products resulting from this engagement will be considered “works made for hire” and remain the property of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Candidates must pass all required background checks as authorized by Texas law.

3 years Agile/project management methodologies and practices
3 years Leading large, complex technology-related projects
3 years Developing & analyzing complex business requirements
1 year Understanding of software development lifecycles (Preferred)
1 year Documentation of business technology challenges (Preferred)
