About the role
- Provide Enterprise GIS, geospatial programming, and analytical support services to the BIA
- Work under the direction of the Division Chief and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Support enterprise GIS operations, data management, automation, and analytics
- Develop maps, applications, and dashboards to meet leadership and mission needs
- Manage internal and external GIS portals and open data platforms
- Document procedures and support data consistency and knowledge transfer
- Ensure compliance with federal security and publication standards
Requirements
- Experience with ESRI Enterprise GIS environments
- Proficiency in geospatial data management, analysis, and cartography
- Experience with Python and GIS automation; scripting knowledge preferred
- Understanding of federal geospatial standards (FGDC, NSDI, DOI)
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, cloud environments, and database management
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
