About the role
- Provide requirements, direction, and service desk support to GIS coordinators and specialists
- Develop scripts to optimize geospatial processes and workflows
- Monitor and mitigate security vulnerabilities across GIS portals, AWS, and related systems
- Design spatial databases, business rules, and workflows integrated with enterprise systems (e.g., TAAMS)
- Manage enterprise servers, databases, and services (Microsoft OS, SQL Server, Access, SCOM)
- Administer geospatial data in accordance with FGDC, NSDI, DOI, and BIA standards
- Maintain documentation for technical procedures, architecture, and service levels
- Manage a secure central geospatial data repository supporting tribal trust land data
- Oversee data publication, metadata creation, and compliance with privacy and open data requirements
- Advance enterprise GIS standards, integration, and interoperability
Requirements
- Experience with ESRI Enterprise GIS environments
- Proficiency in geospatial data management, analysis, and cartography
- Experience with Python and GIS automation; scripting knowledge preferred
- Understanding of federal geospatial standards (FGDC, NSDI, DOI)
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, cloud environments, and database management
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
