About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Run monthly accounting routines in Moss, including pre-accounting, receipt and invoice matching, expense and card transactions, and following up on missing items
  • Ensure relevant documents and invoices reach the tax advisor on time and error-free
  • Support financial reporting by preparing recurring reports, maintaining clean underlying data, and flagging inconsistencies early
  • Maintain the asset inventory for hardware, licenses, and SaaS subscriptions from purchase to return
  • Reconcile the asset inventory against the ISMS asset register and actual spend
  • Ensure devices are assigned, tracked, and collected when employees leave
  • Maintain the ISMS in Kertos, including policies, processing records, evidence, and open-task tracking
  • Prepare compliance documentation for enterprise deals, including draft answers to security questionnaires and data protection questions
  • Keep data protection records current, including processing activities, DPAs, and vendor overview
  • Automate and document repetitive work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled student in business administration, business law, or a comparable field, with at least 3 semesters completed
  • First practical experience in finance, accounting, compliance, audit, or a startup operations role, for example through a working student position or internship
  • Genuinely reliable with recurring, detail-heavy work: things you own get done on schedule, and you speak up early when something is off
  • Interest in GDPR and information security, plus the ability to get up to speed quickly on frameworks you have not worked with yet
  • Confident with spreadsheets and quick to learn new tools
  • Structured written communication: you can turn our internal documentation into a clean answer for an external reader
  • Fluent German and English
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to accounting or finance tooling (e.g. Moss, DATEV, Personio) or to a compliance platform
  • Nice-to-have: First contact with ISO 27001, SOC 2, TISAX, or comparable frameworks
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with scripting or data tooling to keep reporting and automations running yourself
  • Nice-to-have: Interest in building a career in finance, compliance, or startup operations
