About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers
  • Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate
  • Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customers needs
  • Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a US government clearance
  • experience in a customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or post-sales role
  • background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing solutions
  • comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL protocols and Cloud Computing
  • customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
  • experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences
  • team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment
