About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date system data and documentation to ensure clarity and informed decision-making across all active projects
- Identifying program collaborative opportunities across projects within the department
- Exercising written and verbal communication and listening skills to support clarity, trust, and well-coordinated project execution
- Showing initiative, inquiring thoughtfully, engaging in teamwork discussions, rapidly learning from experienced staff, and actively contributing within a group setting
- Tracking, following up on project dependencies, and communicating status to leadership and Akamai stakeholders
- Ensuring effective communications with stakeholders to plan activities, identify and manage dependencies for high visibility projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrate 0-2 of Program/Project Management experience with relevant expertise in fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science.
- Have experience in process improvement - whether in a business or technical environment
- Be passionate about learning program management techniques
- Demonstrate a passion for excellence through sound judgment, solid decision making and contingency planning
- Utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude code, Gemini) and big data tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) effectively in operations.
- Utilize project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) with familiarity and proficiency.
