About the role

  • have end-to-end accountability for the delivery of programs
  • lead strategic programs from planning to sustainment while reporting the program benefits to the Executive Sponsors and Governance Boards
  • lead a group of Project Managers by coaching, guiding, and mentoring them while providing thought leadership and helping elevate delivery standards
  • lead program definition, planning, scope, and execution of assigned programs, managing the health status of programs to anticipate risks and/or issues and implement mitigation plans
  • define integrated program plans (including detailed work breakdown structures) and the deliverables required for the program's success
  • identify dependencies and interdependencies between programs and successfully scope, size, and lead implementation of identified transformation/growth opportunities
  • work independently and comfortably in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward for teams
  • adopt best-practice guidelines to influence and implement continuous improvements to PMO processes

Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field or its equivalent
  • professional experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organization
  • sufficient level of technical background to provide credibility to technical teams and accurately and objectively evaluate risks and issues
  • experience working on projects/programs supporting infrastructure upgrades and installations
  • experience managing external implementation providers
  • solid leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills in addition to excellent presentation and communication abilities
  • successful track record of stakeholder management and leading effective communication across senior leadership and technical teams
