About the role
- create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers
- manage the technical proposal process and ensure all technical information and recommendations are accurate
- track account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet customer needs
- lead sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
Requirements
- 8 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- US citizenship due to the nature of our client base
- experience in customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales, or post-sales role
- background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies, or cloud computing solutions
- comprehensive understanding of the internet including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL protocols, and Cloud Computing
- customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
- experience presenting technical topics to diverse audiences
- collaboration and problem-solving skills in a fast-changing environment
