About the role
- Developing strategic sales plans to maximize opportunities through existing account and new accounts
- Utilizing marketing resources and industry knowledge to create and manage a high-volume sales pipeline ensuring forecast accuracy
- Securing new and renewals contracts to maximize adoption of Akamai technology and customer satisfaction
- Partnering with sales engineers, influencers and subject matter experts to ensure consultative engagement with prospects and customers
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors' degree
- Excellent knowledge of the Cyber Security Ecosystems, Cloud Security and Zero Trust
- Successful sales experience in system, solution or channel sales within the SLED environment
- Previous experience selling IT solutions to California State & Local governments and Education
- Previous experience selling IT solutions to the Department of Homeland Security
- Ethical approach to sales, integrity, personal dedication, and upholding Akamai values.
