Key responsibilities & impact

Engage in critical network and attack-related events for Akamai's managed security customers
Identify real-time cyber-attacks
Strategize and deploy mitigations while neutralizing adverse impact to end users
Devise and engage mitigation strategies using Akamai products and platform
Perform advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customers' digital properties and/or business networks
Communicate with customers regarding challenges, updates, and mitigation and analysis results
Innovate around tooling development and product enhancement
Advocate for customer centricity during day-to-day operations and incidents

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 years of relevant industry experience primarily in networking, Akamai Platform, or web application security
Excellent customer-facing skills
In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP, IP, and UDP
Knowledge of how the internet works, including DNS, HTTP, and IP protocols
Understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and its relation to internet service compromises and attacks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
Passion and ability to learn new tools and technologies
Problem-solving ability
