About the role

  • Technical overall responsibility for the apm.de platform, from conception through implementation to operation
  • Design, integration and further development of interfaces (REST APIs) to internal systems and external service providers
  • Implementation of attractive, functional and high-performance user interfaces based on HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and JavaScript
  • Requirements gathering and coordination with internal stakeholders and translation into technical concepts, user stories and realistic roadmaps
  • Evaluation and co-design of the future system architecture: further development of the existing WordPress stack or planning and implementation of possible alternatives
  • Keep web performance, accessibility, SEO and usability in mind and contribute your own ideas for improvements

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in web development
  • Solid knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with WordPress and developing custom themes and plugins
  • Experience working with tools such as Docker, Composer, Yarn and Webpack
  • Familiarity with the version control system Git
  • Confident handling of Linux-based web servers and traditional LAMP stacks
  • Knowledge of data-driven JavaScript frameworks (Vue or similar) is desirable
  • Good English skills, spoken and written, and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly
  • Good German skills, spoken and written (C1 level)
  • Structured, self-reliant working style and enjoyment of clean, maintainable code
