About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support documentation, testing, and ongoing review of system security controls
Assist in ensuring systems are fully scoped with all components and technology stacks accurately inventoried.
Help articulate the implementation of assigned security controls
Support system decommissioning efforts, ensuring proper retirement or cancellation of systems
Assist in achieving system authorizations (ATO) in a timely manner
Contribute to continuous monitoring activities to ensure compliance consistency.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 1+ year of ISSO or ISS Engineer experience in a cleared environment
Minimum 1+ year of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or related field
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
DoD 8570/IAT Level II certification or equivalent (e.g., Security+)
Familiarity with security tools such as: Tenable Nessus / Security Center, Splunk, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, NMAP or similar tools
Basic understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, and federal compliance standards
Active Top Secret clearance.
