About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Senior Accounting Analyst will support the business objectives based on the Controller organization’s scope of responsibility.
Major areas of responsibility will include: financial accounting and reporting, including month-end close processes;
General ledger account analyses, reconciliation review; preparation and posting of journal entries; research, analyses and reporting; internal reporting requests related to Division, Regional branches and Corporate;
Fulfilling requests related to internal/external audit and other ad hoc analyses and special projects.
Liaison with the ALABS shared services including; accounts payable, cash applications, central billing, vendor chargebacks, general ledger accounting, and fixed asset functions as defined in the Airgas + ALABS RACI matrix.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Minimum of three years financial reporting / financial accounting experience, public accounting experience
Strong “client service” mindset and work well with internal customers as well as external parties.
Proven organizational, team-building and people skills.
The ability to work and navigate within a complex matrixed organization.
Ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly-changing environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting divisional, local and corporate management and demands.
Vision, creativity and a quality mindset.
Preferred Qualifications : CPA and/or MBA in Finance/Accounting. Exposure to medium-to-large companies. Advanced experience with SAP software. Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access), experience
