About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assisting in various stages of the sales process, creating awareness of new offerings, generating leads, and retaining customers.
- Work closely with area sales team members.
- Maintain clear communication with internal departments regarding customer information.
- Assist local Branch Managers in promoting sales through retail store locations.
- Maintain a high level of internal customer service by assisting the sales force.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals.
- Qualify and pursue sales leads from other parts of the Airgas organization.
- Keep management informed of territory performance and market trends.
- Submit required sales and activity reports on time.
- Attend and complete all training modules provided by Airgas.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Business, Sales or similar discipline preferred.
- Third or fourth year student preferred.
- Prior outside sales/service experience preferred.
- Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive approach and willingness to learn.
- Proficient in Google suite applications include Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
- Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
- Preferred: Enrolled at Kansas State University.
