About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assisting in various stages of the sales process, creating awareness of new offerings, generating leads, and retaining customers.
  • Work closely with area sales team members.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal departments regarding customer information.
  • Assist local Branch Managers in promoting sales through retail store locations.
  • Maintain a high level of internal customer service by assisting the sales force.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals.
  • Qualify and pursue sales leads from other parts of the Airgas organization.
  • Keep management informed of territory performance and market trends.
  • Submit required sales and activity reports on time.
  • Attend and complete all training modules provided by Airgas.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Business, Sales or similar discipline preferred.
  • Third or fourth year student preferred.
  • Prior outside sales/service experience preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Google suite applications include Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
  • Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
  • Preferred: Enrolled at Kansas State University.
