About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the engineering, manufacturing and procurement process
- Coordinate with internal and external engineering resources
- Assist in the development of project proposals, cost estimates and budgets, timelines and schedules
- Support and comply with all process safety management and risk management plan practices
- Support all personnel policies directed by local and corporate personnel
- Learn the skills and gain exposure to use of motor protection relays
- Build a project to update obsolete units
- Complete digital backups for all in service relays
- Support the Reliability team with health assessments of critical medium voltage equipment in the US and Canada
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
- Prior internship experience preferred but not required
- Dependable, quick learner who is independent and works well with others
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented and quality focused
- Ability and desire to work in industrial environments
- Strong verbal communication, organization, scheduling skills
- Ability to learn and utilize Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
- Able to save and maintain electronic files
- Ability to learn and use additional 3rd party software programs
- Ability to write routine business correspondence in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Associates and/or customers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language
- Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
