About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the engineering, manufacturing and procurement process
Coordinate with internal and external engineering resources
Assist in the development of project proposals, cost estimates and budgets, timelines and schedules
Support and comply with all process safety management and risk management plan practices
Support all personnel policies directed by local and corporate personnel
Learn the skills and gain exposure to use of motor protection relays
Build a project to update obsolete units
Complete digital backups for all in service relays
Support the Reliability team with health assessments of critical medium voltage equipment in the US and Canada

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Prior internship experience preferred but not required
Dependable, quick learner who is independent and works well with others
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Detail-oriented and quality focused
Ability and desire to work in industrial environments
Strong verbal communication, organization, scheduling skills
Ability to learn and utilize Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
Able to save and maintain electronic files
Ability to learn and use additional 3rd party software programs
Ability to write routine business correspondence in English
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Associates and/or customers
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language
Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
