About the role
- Managing and growing key client relationships in welding and industrial gases sector
- Driving revenue growth by understanding customer needs and providing comprehensive solutions across welding processes, industrial gases, and welding hard goods
- Building Airgas' market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing metal fabrication business relationships
- Identifying business ideas and opportunities
- Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies
- Actively pursuing and acquiring new and competitive accounts
- Developing and negotiating contracts integrating requirements with business operations
- Compiling lists of prospective customers as sales leads
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Completing and submitting month-end reports accurately
- Working safely and meeting safety procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (required) in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Engineering (especially Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding Engineering), or a related technical field
- Technical Expertise: Welding Processes, Cutting Processes, Robotic and Automated Welding, Welding Metallurgy, Industrial Gases, Gas Applications, Gas Delivery Systems, Safety Protocols, Hard Goods (Welding Equipment & Consumables)
- Master's Degree (preferred/a plus)
- Certifications (beneficial): AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), or other industry-specific certifications
