About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analysis of system requirements
  • Coordination of concepts, applications and interfaces with customers (external and internal)
  • Design of software architectures for application software and embedded systems and documentation using e.g. UML
  • Support in selecting appropriate hardware
  • Coordination and implementation of applications within the agile team
  • Development of test strategies, validation and testing of the applications
  • Documentation of work performed in accordance with space industry requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
  • Understanding of software architectures and application design
  • Knowledge of object-oriented software design and software implementation
  • Knowledge of the software lifecycle (requirements engineering, software development, test strategies)
  • Ideally experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet)
  • Ideally some initial experience with space development projects
  • High degree of responsibility and self-initiative
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good written and spoken English; German used as the working language
