About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analysis of system requirements
Coordination of concepts, applications and interfaces with customers (external and internal)
Design of software architectures for application software and embedded systems and documentation using e.g. UML
Support in selecting appropriate hardware
Coordination and implementation of applications within the agile team
Development of test strategies, validation and testing of the applications
Documentation of work performed in accordance with space industry requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
Understanding of software architectures and application design
Knowledge of object-oriented software design and software implementation
Knowledge of the software lifecycle (requirements engineering, software development, test strategies)
Ideally experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet)
Ideally some initial experience with space development projects
High degree of responsibility and self-initiative
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good written and spoken English; German used as the working language
