About the role
- Plan and perform risk-based internal audits across Airbus Helicopters design functions
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to the design lifecycle
- Conduct audits in accordance with EASA Part 21, FRA standards and applicable aviation regulations
- Assess compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements
- Audit the Design Assurance System to ensure effective control over design activities
- Review compliance with EN9100, internal procedures, and design organisation manuals
- Evaluate controls related to safety, airworthiness, and configuration management
- Assess design change management, deviation handling and non-conformance processes
- Review governance structures, roles and responsibilities, and decision-making authorities within the design organization
- Evaluate management oversight and regulatory readiness
- Monitor changes in aviation regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience within an aerospace design organisation
- Minimum 5 years of auditing experience in aerospace or other safety critical industries
- Demonstrated experience auditing EASA compliance, Design Assurance Systems and quality management systems
- Master degree in Aerospace Engineering, Quality
- Strong understanding of Aeronautical design lifecycle and certification processes
- Solid knowledge of aviation regulations and quality standards (EASA Part 21, FRA, EN9100)
- Excellence analytical investigative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to engage effectively with high technical stakeholders
- High integrity, independence and sound professional judgement
- Experience working in DOA approved organizations (preferred)
- Familiarity with configuration management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and design data control tools (preferred)
- Experience supporting regulatory or customer audits in aerospace environment (preferred)
- Languages: English, French, German
