About the role
- Define, together with key stakeholders, a winning bid strategy aligned with the organisation’s objectives and providing clear differentiators against competitors.
- Oversee the entire bid management process, from opportunity qualification through to contract negotiation.
- Create a bid plan and shape a compelling, competitive proposal.
- Lead, motivate and coordinate the efforts of multiple functional teams and contributors to ensure the timely production and delivery of the bid.
- Drive the development of all aspects of the proposal: technical solution, cost estimates, risk assessment, pricing, commercial terms, compliance matrix, delivery schedule, etc.
- Write, edit and review proposal content.
- Ensure bid compliance and responsiveness.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Holder of an Engineering degree or a Master’s degree in a technical field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing and delivering large, complex bids (multi-million euro value)
- Experience in the defence sector: NATO, European Defence Agency, Ministry of Defence
- Professional bid management certification is a plus (Shipley, APMP, etc.)
- Ability to engage effectively with customers, partners and suppliers
- Background in Cybersecurity or Information Technology
- Ability to listen to customers and support them through the contracting process
- Strong analytical, negotiation and synthesis skills
- Excellent negotiation skills in English and French
