About the role
- Lead the helicopter development projects within the assigned perimeter
- Ensure they are achieved on time/cost and quality, to Customer satisfaction
- Capture and understand the needs and constraints of our NH90 Spanish operators/Customers
- Translate operational needs into technical requirements
- Ensure convergence on the main technical solutions affecting the H/C characteristics or compliance to the regulatory and Customer requirements
- Define, align and flow down project development activities
- Lead design reviews & maturity gates feeders
- Follow progress, support solving blocking issues, ensure proper risks & opportunities management
- Lead related engineering change and aircraft configuration management
- Manage interdependencies/ Interfaces with related other contracts
- Contribute to the preparation of offers for Contract Amendments
- Manage the qualification/ certification of the product and required flight permits for test flights
- Support production, integrated logistics and customer support
- Assure continuous safe operations
- Contribute continuously to improve our overall engineering efficiency
Requirements
- At least 10 years (experienced) in engineering
- 5 years in Project/Program Management
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in aeronautics, engineering or related discipline
- Good knowledge of helicopter systems, architecture and related operational missions/environments with a plus for military systems/missions
- Ability to work with project management SW tools (planning, presentations, etc.)
- English: negociation; Spanish: negociation; French: notions is a plus
