About the role

  • Support and assist the Accounting Services Management on leadership dimensions (assessment salary increase, promotion, management of competencies, training, development).
  • Responsible for the team’s operational performance, in the perimeters of Bank Accounting for selected Airbus entities.
  • Propose recommendations and supervise the implementation of relevant policies and procedures to respective scope of responsibility.
  • Propose and implement process harmonization and standardization between the different legal entities and promote an end to end Record-to-Account approach.
  • Escalate back-office issues related to the relevant processes and applications in your perimeter of responsibility.
  • Prepare reporting of KPIs to internal customers and stakeholders to display process performance and propose mitigation actions with internal customers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Finance, Accounting and relevant Governance policies and procedures.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct the yearly audits, acting as a focal point with external auditors and Airbus internal control team.
  • Ensure daily timely upload and processing of bank statements for relevant Airbus entities.
  • Monitor closing activities. Investigate and follow-up on the mitigation of any reconciling differences between bank statements and ERP records, ensure that needed corrections are performed.
  • Support the team in the scope of Fixed Assets Accounting activities. Provide relevant clarification to internal stakeholders and act as the first point of escalation for operational topics.
  • Build and sustain a robust relationship with internal customers; be a focal point for customer relationships; work in close collaboration with internal customers to identify and implement solutions for problems encountered on a daily basis.
  • Support the Accounting Services management on special projects and foster the implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Accounting background and a minimum of 5 to 8 years of professional experience in a commercial or industrial environment involving tight deadlines.
  • Team management experience and experience in escalating issue resolution, team building, training and team support.
  • Good communication skills, rigor, conscientious.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, build strong cross functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Working knowledge of SAP desirable with a strong desire to develop further.
  • Previous experience in the Banking sector or Treasury would be a plus.
  • Fluent in English, fluency in French/German/Spanish would be a plus.
