About the role

  • Take responsibility for the efficient execution of the test campaign for passive RF/high-frequency devices for space applications
  • Test passive RF/high-frequency devices using vector network analysis and spectrum analysis, as well as other RF measurement methods
  • Perform functional and environmental tests at semi- and fully-automated test stations
  • Conduct performance tests (Passive Intermodulation, Power Handling, Critical Pressure, Band Edge, Multipaction)
  • Independently design, plan, build and perform capability testing of test stations for passive RF/high-frequency devices
  • Serve as technical point of contact for customers
  • Research available and newly developed measurement technologies, specify specialized measurement equipment and test fixtures, coordinate technically with suppliers, and support the procurement process
  • Further develop test systems and test processes
  • Perform independent troubleshooting of test systems and passive RF/high-frequency devices
  • Responsible for cost/effort estimation for quotations and serve as technical contact during the bidding/offer process

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a comparable field
  • Solid knowledge of RF/high-frequency engineering
  • Experience with test and measurement technology and/or automation technology
  • Ideally, experience in the development and design of RF/high-frequency assemblies/components
  • Very good English skills, written and spoken
  • Strong awareness of deadlines and quality
  • Ability to work independently, team-oriented, committed and willing to learn
