About the role
- Act as Planner on development projects and/or contracts: create and maintain schedules that cover the full lifecycle, optimize the critical path, and support the Project Manager in schedule tracking and updates
- Monitor and control project execution with respect to schedule, cost, risks and opportunities, and track project progress
- Manage the full development project lifecycle: scoping, work package management, change control, and project closure
- Coordinate and contribute to company financial exercises such as Sales & Operations Planning, financial forecasts and Cost to/at Completion
- Prepare risk status reports for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Manage Chief Engineering contributions to enterprise risk management and engineering resource/workload planning
- Gain insight into all topics within the design organization from concept through end-of-life of a helicopter program and maintain close contact with all stakeholders
- Participate in Engineering resource management and financial management processes for the area under your responsibility
- Develop competencies that will prepare you for a subsequent role as Project Manager in Engineering, Chief Engineering or Program Management
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent professional experience
- Experience as a Project Management Officer or working in a Program Management Office (PMO)
- Experience in scheduling for engineering projects or contracts
- Knowledge of development processes, systems engineering, lifecycle management and Airbus Helicopters processes is an advantage
- Experience in finance and accounting, or a strong understanding of financial processes (budget management for projects/programs)
- Knowledge or experience with earned value management
- Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., OPX2, MS Project)
- Experience in risk management (e.g., ARM)
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel and Google Workspace tools
- Knowledge of SAP PS
- Ability to analyze complex projects and implement project management practices to support decision-making and advise project and program managers
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Autonomous, precise, reliable and solution-oriented
- Proactive with the ability to identify and implement improvements
- Language skills: English — fluent; French — fluent; German — an advantage
