About the role
- Collect, review, and sign aircraft documentation to ensure compliance with Transport Canada Type Design Data
- Manage the resolution of discrepancies at aircraft level in coordination with internal/external contacts
- Issue the Transport Canada Export Airworthiness Certificate
- Assist the FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) for FAA Certificate of Airworthiness
- Report to Transport Canada on export activities
- Maintain the Transport Canada embossing seal and stamps per TCCA regulation
- Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions with knowledge of Lean Management
- Liaise for Regulatory Authorities for Aircraft Certification
Requirements
- Professional education in aeronautical maintenance or engineering
- At least 10 years experience in an aeronautical field (production, maintenance, and engineering)
- 3 years of practical experience with respect to Transport Canada airworthiness certification and regulatory requirements for the FAA
- A TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or FAA Airframe & Powerplant License is required
- Competency to understand Company conformity attestation processes
- Soft computer skills proficient with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP, Internet Explorer, and/or GSuite
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- The ability to read, write, or speak a second language is preferred
