About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent DCS to internal project teams
- Assess application architectures and demonstrate platform capabilities
- Guide teams through application containerization
- Write Dockerfiles/Podman specs, Kubernetes manifests, and Helm charts
- Set up ArgoCD GitOps pipelines
- Conduct hands-on coding sessions, office hours, and workshops
- Upskill developers in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and modern CI/CD practices
- Gather developer feedback and friction points
- Define actionable technical requirements for the core DCS Platform team
- Build developer-friendly quick-start guides, GitOps templates, and sample repositories
- Foster internal cloud-native developer communities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Practical programming experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js)
- Strong understanding of modern application architectures
- Proven expertise with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift platforms
- Practical experience or strong knowledge of GitOps principles, ArgoCD, and modern CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitLab CI)
- Strong interpersonal, teaching, and presentation capabilities
- Fluent English AND German
- Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity
