About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Represent DCS to internal project teams
Assess application architectures and demonstrate platform capabilities
Guide teams through application containerization
Write Dockerfiles/Podman specs, Kubernetes manifests, and Helm charts
Set up ArgoCD GitOps pipelines
Conduct hands-on coding sessions, office hours, and workshops
Upskill developers in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and modern CI/CD practices
Gather developer feedback and friction points
Define actionable technical requirements for the core DCS Platform team
Build developer-friendly quick-start guides, GitOps templates, and sample repositories
Foster internal cloud-native developer communities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Practical programming experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js)
Strong understanding of modern application architectures
Proven expertise with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift platforms
Practical experience or strong knowledge of GitOps principles, ArgoCD, and modern CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitLab CI)
Strong interpersonal, teaching, and presentation capabilities
Fluent English AND German
Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity
