About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Source, screen and recommend candidates for Airbus roles from entry level through senior leadership
  • Develop and deploy advanced sourcing strategies, including cold calling and network development
  • Represent Airbus’ employment value proposition and published Airbus Values
  • Build applicant pools and establish trust-based partnerships with managers
  • Assess candidate fit through interviewing and testing
  • Administer interviewing and onboarding processes and ensure a positive new-hire experience
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans and strategies to meet hiring goals
  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers and HR teams on position descriptions, requisitions, compensation and sourcing strategies
  • Deliver high-quality candidate shortlists and recruit qualified candidates through resume screens, phone screens and interviews
  • Recommend final applicant selections and close qualified candidates
  • Place and update job postings across internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partners
  • Promote Airbus referral programs and internal opportunities
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and staffing administration
  • Respond to internal and external applicant situations and requests
  • Follow up with managers to assess recruiting effectiveness
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive recruiting
  • Develop candidate networks, partnerships, databases and pipelines
  • Partner with Business HR leaders to anticipate Talent Acquisition needs and create pipelines
  • Represent Airbus at recruiting events and college job fairs
  • Provide company and job information and interview applicants at events
  • Give college presentations, attend student group meetings and increase company awareness
  • Identify appropriate recruiting events and support event registration
  • Ensure activities comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other applicable regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive talent acquisition, candidate sourcing and interviewing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or combination of education and appropriate work experience
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures
  • Knowledge of US Employment and Labor Laws and application to the recruitment process and applicant tracking system
  • Knowledge of the regional labor market
  • Knowledge of recruiting techniques and experience in online/social media recruiting
  • Excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Strong time management, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, trustworthiness and confidentiality
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • French, German or Spanish language skills preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiter and other candidate sourcing tools
  • Able to work in the US without a current or future need for visa sponsorship
  • Able to travel independently and at short notice
  • Able to carry and lift up to 30 lbs/14 kgs
  • Required PPE for administrative position
  • Ability to see, hear, speak, sit, stand, walk, squat and kneel as required for the role
