About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for People to Meet across guest and host journeys
  • Translate guest, host, and partner feedback into product features and positioning
  • Develop public-facing messaging and narrative, communicating the value proposition to guests, hosts, and media
  • Align product teams and cross-functional partners across marketing, communications, research, and product marketing management
  • Grow and shape the supply of social formats by partnering with hosts and creators
  • Own the guest connection experience before, during, and after events
  • Champion trust, safety, and privacy in in-person connection products
  • Ensure the People to Meet storefront is healthy and listings meet a high quality bar
  • Make user-focused prioritization and judgment decisions
  • Execute product launches and deliver business and user impact
  • Role-model open communication and curiosity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience
  • Experience creating product messaging and positioning and delivering it to customers and media
  • Demonstrated inbound and subject matter expertise, ideally in consumer social, community, events, or marketplace businesses
  • Background building social or community products, including profiles and identity, matching and discovery, messaging, and connection mechanics
  • Fluency in two-sided marketplace dynamics, including supply and demand bootstrapping, cold-start, network effects, and repeat engagement
  • Understanding of trust and safety and privacy by design for real-world connections
  • Requirements gathering and documentation skills; ability to create clear specifications
  • Ability to build customer-focused stories and work with marketing and communications partners
  • Track record of cross-functional product leadership
  • Experience building and scaling global consumer products, marketplaces, or ecosystems
  • Entrepreneurial track record of taking ideas to reality and leading teams in dynamic environments
  • Experience with consumer products driving significant engagement and revenue
  • Ability to use data and perform business analysis for product strategy and go-to-market decisions
  • Ability and desire to travel frequently, including domestically and internationally
  • Willingness to work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed
  • Ability to be based in or have a strong preference for San Francisco, Seattle, or New York; employees cannot be located in the listed excluded states
  • Enjoys individual-contributor product and product marketing work and attention to detail
