About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Specifying and selecting manual valves and piping material to APCI standards.
  • Selecting and specifying mechanical equipment to APCI standards.
  • Review of project drawings and specifications such as layout plan, P&ID, valve specifications, piping specifications, cleaning requirement, SLD and etc.
  • Development of construction packages.
  • Participating in Design Hazards Reviews.
  • Lead and integrate internal and external resources to resolve project design and technical issues in all project phases.
  • Development of project cost details and schedule.
  • Understand and comply with the requirements of APCI standards, specifications, local building codes in project execution.
  • Readily applies basic engineering principles to solve project design problems.
  • Manage, execute, monitor and deliver projects on time, safely, within budget and fulfill project scope and specifications.
  • Report to management on project status and costs and issues.
  • Archive of project documentation to Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS)/Open Text (OT) and handover project deliveries.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's in engineering.
  • Min. 3 years of project and design engineering experience in the petro-chemical or similar industrial experience.
  • Similar type production facility with at least 2 years of in plant experience .
  • Experience with Mechanical and piping engineering would be the preferred background.
  • Competency in personal computer skills including MS word, MS Excel, Access, MS Project and Outlook.
